Attendance Requirement: TGU requires minimum 80% attendance in all enrolled courses. Attendance below 70% automatically forfeits the right to sit the final examination.

Exam Schedules: Mid-term assessments occur in Weeks 9–10. Final examination timetables are published by the Academic Affairs Office 3 weeks before finals week on the TGU portal.

Make-up Exams (补考): Retake examinations take place during the first 2 weeks of the subsequent semester. Register via Room 107 or your academic mentor.

Routine Maintenance: For plumbing, electricity, air conditioner, or door lock repairs, visit the International Dormitory Service Desk (Building 3, Ground Floor) between 08:30–11:30 and 14:00–17:30 to fill a repair slip.

Standard Turnaround: Non-urgent repairs are fulfilled within 24–48 hours.

Emergency Contact: For urgent nighttime water leaks or power outages, call the 24/7 campus maintenance hotline: 022-8395-5000.

Timeline: You MUST apply at least 30 days before your current Visa / Residence Permit expires. Overstaying incurs strict legal penalties (500 RMB/day up to 10,000 RMB).

Required Documents:

  • Original Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
  • Official JW202 / JW201 Form
  • TGU Enrollment & Attendance Certificate (issued by Room 205)
  • Tianjin Police Registration Slip (境外人员住宿登记表)
  • Two 2-inch white-background passport photos

Visit the International Affairs Office (Building A, Room 205) for verification before submitting to the Tianjin Entry-Exit Bureau.

Online Payment (Recommended): Login to TGU Finance Portal with your Student ID. Supports WeChat Pay and Alipay with linked Chinese bank cards or international credit cards.

Direct Bank Transfer: Transfer to Tiangong University official account. Ensure your Student ID + Full Name is written in the transfer remark (附言/备注). Bring the transaction receipt to the Finance Office (Administration Building, Room 102) for receipt validation.

Tuition Deadlines: Autumn semester fees must be completed within 14 days of registration.

Annual Review Window: Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC), Tianjin Government Scholarship (TGS), and TGU President Scholarship annual reviews occur annually in May–June for continuing students, and November for autumn evaluation.

Evaluation Breakdown:

  • Academic Performance (GPA > 3.0 / 80%+ marks): 60%
  • Attendance & Campus Discipline: 20%
  • Extracurricular, Cultural & Student Union Engagement: 20%

Disciplinary warnings or unexcused visa violations lead to scholarship suspension.
